Born and raised in Omaha, NE, Rani grew up practicing dance styles of ballet, tap & jazz. Then, upon making her high school and all-star dance teams, she fell in love with competitive dance team styles of pom, hip hop and high kick!
This is where it all began...
Rani attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she was a member and captain of the Maverick Dance Team that competed at the NDA Collegiate Nationals. During that time, Rani worked as a Head Instructor for Universal Dance Association, traveling nationwide leading dance camps for high school dance teams and judging local and regional competitions. Rani was also the Jazz Company Director for a local Omaha dance studio and pom coach at her high school. As a dance teacher & coach, her teams earned many "innovative choreography" awards and top placement trophies.
Each of these roles fueled her love for coaching, even more!
Rani graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science/Physical Education. After college, she enjoyed working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor (more coaching). Rani continued her dance career as an NFL Cheerleader, first, with the Kansas City Chiefs, and then the Arizona Cardinals!
After moving to Arizona, Rani went on to earn her Master of Arts degree in Secondary Teaching. She taught for five years in the fields of Biology and Physical Education. She spent 6 seasons as the Director of the Pinnacle High School Spiritline in Arizona. She led her teams to continuous top 4 placements at State, a State Championship title, and multiple Nationals Placements at USA Spirit Nationals in both cheer & pom!
By creating Radiance Dance Training & Fitness, Rani can expand her reach of sharing her passion & expertise by teaching private and small group lessons, helping teams build technique & polish routines, and mentoring coaches. Rani has worked with several competitive high school pom teams including Desert Mountain, Chaparral, Cactus Shadows, Westview, Desert Edge, Higley, and Horizon! Additionally, she enjoys dedicating time and sharing her expertise as a judge for the AIA and United Spirit Association.
It is not just about teaching the moves, but about educating on the lifestyle, attitude, and mentality. There are several key components that make up the total package, of which, most are missing 75% of these elements.
My aim is to educate & empower the intellects, to train the dancers, and to polish the team.
Overdeliver. Be a standout. Get the Shine!
